Pan-Seared Fish with Lemon Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 fish fillet – such as tilapia, cod, sea bass, salmon.
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Oil or butter – 2 to 3 tbsp
  • lemon

Preparation Instructions

Choose your favorite fish, being aware of the filet thickness. A thicker the piece will take a bit longer to cook. We suggest tilapia, cod, sea bass or salmon. | Set your frypan on medium heat. | While frypan is heating up, wash your fish and pat dry. Season both sides of fish with salt and pepper. | Once frypan is hot, add 2-3 tbsp of butter/oil and allow to heat up. We prefer butter for this recipe to enhance flavor and end results. Then add your fish skin side down – if the fillet curves upwards while cooking, simply press the down with a spatula to ensure even cooking. | Let the fish cook for 3-4 minutes or until you see the edges begin to brown. Flip fish fillet to other side, baste with butter from the pan and let cook for another 3 minutes. |
  1. Transfer to plate carefully and squeeze lemon – enjoy!
