Easy French Toast

Ingredients

  • 6 thick slices of bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste or extract
  • Pinch of salt

Preparation Instructions

  1. Mix the batter—In a large bowl, whisk together egg, milk, salt, spices, and vanilla.
  2. Prepare the pan—Lightly oil or butter ceramic non-stick skillet or griddle and place over medium high heat. When a drop of water sizzles on pan, it’s ready to go.
  3. Make the French toast—Dip each slice of bread in egg mixture, making sure both sides are soaked. Place in pan and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

Tips

Stale Bread? Even Better!
