30-Min. Cheeseburger Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce (24 ounces) or make your own (link to 30-Minute Spaghetti Sauce recipe)
- 3 cups water
- 12 ounces uncooked bite-size pasta
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation Instructions
- Brown the beef—In a large ceramic non-stick skillet over medium heat, cook beef until evenly browned. Drain excess fat.
- Make the pasta and sauce—Increase heat to high. Stir pasta sauce and water into beef and bring to a boil. Then stir in uncooked macaroni and return to boil. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender—about 14 minutes. Stir in mozzarella cheese until melted and evenly distributed. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
